What's your oasis? Mine is the bedroom. The place to unwind, relax, and catch up on much needed sleep. I don't even like having a TV in the bedroom, they are distracting. I feel that it takes away from the purpose, which is to let your mind wander and wash away the day. If a TV is on I do not have a the will power to switch it off when I get too sleepy, so I stay up hour after hour watching anything that comes on (sometimes even infomercials about the handy grill or bullet mixer). When I travel home to visit my parents and both my sister and I are home is the only time I give in on the whole TV situation. My sister has to have noise to fall asleep to, and we all know that I don't. So, it becomes a battle of who gets their way. Usually I let her have the remote and and she will set a timer.
While looking at one of my favorite idea websites,
Houzz, I came across some absolutely beautiful bedrooms. Now, one day my bedroom will look like these, but for now it serves its purpose as a resting place.
