One Year

This weekend is an anniversary - it is when Kyle and I met one year ago.  For two people who hardly go out, it's crazy to think that we met in a bar.

It was Alpha Chi Omega's senior pub crawl, my friends and I were out celebrating in downtown Springfield, we were all at Boogie, when my roommate Laura asked if I would go to Bugsy's with her - I said "okay, why not."  Around the point we got to Bugsys my feet were killing me - I knew that the heels I chose would be a killer, but I couldn't of imagined that much pain.  I asked some random guy (Kyle) if he wouldn't mind me sitting down, he said no and offered me his chair (it was closet to where Laura was).  It so happened that the guy who so graciously gave me his chair was a roommate of Laura's friend.  We started talking, mainly about karaoke because his friends had dared him to get up and sing a Backstreet Boys song.  At the end of the night, Laura and I were walking with her friend and Kyle down to their apartment, which was close to the Alpha Chi house.  On the way back to their apartment I kept noticing that Kyle would switch sides of me to be nearest to where any cars would come - of course I said something because the only person that has ever done something like is my dad.  He carried me over a puddle, I had taken my shoes off because the thought of walking barefoot down the street was better than wearing my shoes for two more seconds.  Before we said goodnight, Kyle and I exchanged numbers.

The next day I got a text from Kyle.  We started talking and later that weekend we met up to watch a movie.  We sat through the whole movie just talking.  Not a week went by and we decided that we each had found someone special and wanted to see where it could lead.

We will both be graduating on May 14th, our official one year anniversary, and couldn't imagine being any happier.
